Phone Banker (In-Person & Virtual)
Part-time position overview
Woke Vote Phone Bankers are a vital part of Woke Vote. Phone bankers must be able to work independently as well as interdependently with the team to advance the program’s mission, goals, and objectives. The position is responsible for the implementation of a phone bank programming, using the software Hub-Dialer. A brief training session is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Under direction of the Woke Vote Program Director, the primary responsibilities are:
Scheduled phone banking time
Train on how to use Hub-dialer system
Track hours worked by phone bank workers
Submit phone bank hours for payroll
Create daily and weekly reports on phone banking activities
Liaison with Woke Vote leadership to procure funding and logistical support
Create relationships with key community stakeholders, organizations and other community leaders
Minimum Requirements
Commitment to Woke Vote’s mission, social justice, and black liberation. Personal qualities include energy, enthusiasm, motivation, commitment, integrity, humor, a positive attitude, and the ability to motivate and listen to others
Demonstrated leadership experience. 1-2 years experience with civic and voter engagement strategies preferred but not mandatory
Possess strong interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills
Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collect and analyze data for planning and reporting purposes
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
Location, Duration & Compensation
Available to Eastern North Carolina residents, including:
Pitt County
Nash County
Wilson County
Lenoir County
Halifax County
Edgecombe County
Compensation: $20 per hour / during active phonecalls
